TWINS & TELEPATHY Article Series to Appear in TAPS Paramagazine
April Slaughter is currently working on a series of articles on twins and the possibility that they share a connection that reaches beyond their DNA. Part one will be featured in the January/February issue of TAPS Paramagazine, due out by mid-February. For Part Two, April is asking the readers to weigh in with their thoughts on the subject.
Note from April:
I am working on Part 2 of my TWINS & TELEPATHY article series for TAPS Paramagazine, and would like to know how many of you believe the phenomenon exists, how many of you do not, and how many of you are undecided. Please take a moment to comment on this note with your thoughts, theories, experiences, etc.
Telepathy (also known as Extrasensory Perception or ESP) is most commonly defined as receiving knowledge from another without utilizing the five natural senses. I would love to hear your thoughts on twins and the possibility of a telepathic connection between them.
I greatly appreciate your help!

Seeking out the Skinwalker
One of the most intriguing subjects April has investigated to date. The mystery of the ‘Skinwalker’ is one that may never be fully explained. While it was initially intended to be a three-part series, April decided to leave us all hanging at the end of Part 2. Don’t believe us? Read the articles and see for yourself…

The Driskill Hotel - Beautiful, Historic, & Haunted
On the evening of Sunday, November 22, 2009 The Paranormal Source had the honor and privilege of investigating one of the most beautiful places in the entire state - The Driskill Hotel in Austin. For the first time in 40 years, the Driskill shut its doors to guests and went completely dark. No other paranormal team had ever previously been given the opportunity to investigate the entire hotel, and we cannot adequately express just how grateful we truly are to have been extended such an invitation. Thank you to Brett Boreing, Director of Sales & Marketing, for accompanying us throughout the night and for supporting the work we do.

We are currently reviewing our data from the investigation, and will post information as soon as we possibly can. In the meantime, for more information on the Driskill Hotel, please visit the OFFICIAL WEBSITE. Don’t forget to pick up your signed copy of April Slaughter’s book, GHOSTHUNTING TEXAS where the Driskill is a featured haunted location!

The ‘I’m Right, You’re Wrong’ Debate
Alright, so I haven’t been the best at keeping up when it comes to the whole blogging thing. The last year has kept me so constantly busy that I just haven’t sat down to make time for it. I do a fairly good job at staying out of the drama in the paranormal field (or anywhere) and I am actually quite proud of that. Issues arise and recede like flood waters - a tumultuous mix of differing opinions and theories - and I tread quietly through it all as best I can. Occasionally, I am swept up in a storm I never saw coming, and what a nasty ride that can be!
It’s true, the paranormal community is not the only community riddled with conflict; human beings have a way of stirring up trouble no matter what they are involved in, but the paranormal field is what I know and love, and therefore, it draws most of my attention.
My current frustration? Honestly, it’s the never-ending debate over who’s doing it right vs. who’s doing it wrong. First, it has to be asked, who out of any of us is THE definitive expert on the paranormal? You? Me? Sorry folks… I don’t have an answer for this one. There are many people I look up to and work with that I consider to be experts on different areas within the paranormal, but I certainly do not believe any ONE person or ONE theory is the end-all-be-all to everything.
If we are all in search of answers, why do we spend so much time cutting each other down? Is that sort of behavior going to bring us any closer to enlightenment? Don’t get me wrong, I don’t buy into everything I read or hear, and I have definitely formed my own personal opinions about people, places, equipment, techniques, etc. However, I have found that if I disagree with someone, it doesn’t mean either of us are right or wrong. I have no problem leaving them to their own devices and walking the other way. This is not to say that I condone ALL behavior in the paranormal field. Sadly, there are those individuals whose intentions are only to cause harm or to bilk the public out of their money with one scam or another. Again, this is a universal human experience, and not exclusive to the paranormal field. Easy solution for me is to simply choose to not be a part of it.
If you spend your time so wrapped up in what everyone else is doing wrong, how do you devote any time to doing what you feel is right? If you think something should be done a certain way, get out there and do it! If you’re worried about other people faking evidence, don’t fake yours. Don’t believe in psychics? Easy answer is, don’t use them. Whether you subscribe to a completely scientific/skeptical view, a more spiritual/open-minded one, or anywhere in between, you have the right to pursue answers right alongside those that disagree with you.
It is completely expected that people will disagree with you no matter what you do or believe in. Thing is, if they can disagree tastefully, and with some tact, chances are that eventually you just might learn something from one another in the end.
I love the work that I do, and I have an amazing support system in my team. Would I still be doing things the same way if they weren’t behind me? Yes, because it has never been my intent to convince anyone of anything. I just happen to be one of the lucky ones surrounded by people who are working toward the same end.
Do what you know, do what you love, because it’s up to you (and you alone) to travel the road you’re on. No one said you had to take anyone else with you on the trip.
